For those of you that don't know RunKeeper yet, it's an amazing free iPhone application that allows you to:
- track your fitness activities (distance, time, speed, pace, calories burned,...) using the iPhone GPS capabilities
- monitor your progress on a personal web dashboard
- and share your success on Facebook and Twitter
But how to set it up?
It's very simple, just go to the settings tabs from your RunKeeper account and then click on "Body Measurements". Then you just have to enter your Withings credentials in the dedicated text boxes and that's it!
Ps : don't forget to wait at least 3 hours after your fitness activity to weigh in for accurate body analysis measurements

Why do runkeeper.com and dailyburn.com require my withings.com username and password to access the withings.com API? Can't I supply them with a secret API key instead of my account credentials?
I just have a quick question does the withings scale only track one persons weight or can it be programmed to track multiple users with one scale.
If I buy a scale, can I track my weight along with my wife and kids or is it only setup to track one persons?
@cesarhcjr, the scale can support up to 8 individuals. I'm not sure how it decides which one you are when you step onto it- I'm guessing it might use a conductivity + mass profile to pick the most likely user. Or maybe there is a button (I haven't seen it).
Hi Guys,
Thanks for your comments.
@cesarhcjr : as mackenzie said, the Withings Body Scale can support up to 8 customers. They are automatically recognized by the scale thanks to their weight history among other things. If ever the scale is not sure of who is weighing in, you will be prompted to confirm who is currently on the body scale.
@Mackenzie : it's just an easier way for the user to connect with those services. What really happen is that thanks to your credential they will be able to get your public key. You always can stop the integration with those services if you want to (and even change your Withings account password if you want).
