Withings synchs with Libra, an Android app for weight monitoring

In case you haven’t heard of it yet, Libra is a free Android app that tracks your weight and display only the trend line (as suggested by the Hacker’s Diet). It helps to focus on your real weight evolution. With more than 300 000 users and rated 4.5/5,

this app has definitely proved its quality. My favorite feature is that it estimates when you will reach your goal according to your daily progress.

The good news is that from now one, you can monitor your weight automatically on Libra thanks to its integration with the Withings body scale. Each time you will weigh in, your measurements will be add in real-time in your Libra chart.

This app offers a lot of other nice features:

  • Easy manual data entry
  • Scrollable and zoomable chart
  • BMI calculation
  • Weight goal display
  • Time-to-goal estimation
  • Estimates the daily KCal consumption
  • Easy sharing of your chart via email, mms, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • Import/Export to Excel (.csv)
  • Widget

You can watch a demo on youtube or directly test it on your phone. This app is compatible with every phone above Android v1.5

To synch your Withings scale with Libra, open your reference menu, select “Log in” in the Withings menu.

Not working. Says Withings error: 100 when trying to connect to Withings.

  • Jeanne

It happens when you enter the wrong password. Could you try again?

  • Pekka Yrjölä

I'm 100% sure my credentials are right. Double checked them via withings.com

  • Jeanne

It seems the problem is that you have capital letter in your email address. Could you try to enter your credentials without them?

  • Pekka Yrjölä

Jeanne, thanks but that won't work either. I tried to log in with capital letter(s) or with lowercase – still not working. Withings error: 100.

We contacted Libra and we are fixing it as we speak :) Sorry for the bug and thanks for your feedback!

I don't know if it is the right place to ask for it, but i have not found a proper contact section… do withings have in program to release an android (or generically usb) compatible version of its blood pressure monitor? I am not an apple user, and I am very happy with the bodyscale, and I've also to keep track of my blood pressure, but I am not going to change platform only for it….

    @Pekka:

The Libra application has been updated in the Android Market and includes a fix regarding your issue. Would you please update your Libra version and try again ?
Do not hesitate to get back in touch if you still experience the issue.

  • Pekka Yrjölä

Sékine, thanks! Works like a charm. Seems like great app also!

I think Libra is a cool app but recently has stopped syncing withings. The only way I can get it to sync now is by logging out and logging back in. Any ideas anyone?

  • http://blog.withings.com/ Withings

Hi Philip! We’ve tried it on our side, and it works fine. In Libra, did you try clicking on the “sync” button in the top right-hand corner?

Doh! User error! I stand corrected. Great app :-)
