A new dashboard is available for My.Withings.com

We have introduced a few changes in the online dashboard at My.Withings.com. Here is a quick tour of the new features.

Changes on the main interface

-          The “Share” tab has been redesigned. We tried to make the icons and descriptions more explicit so that you can see exactly who you can share your data with.

-          We have added support for Facebook integration. You can now set it up to post your weight and/or blood pressure on your Facebook wall automatically, much like it is already possible to do with Twitter. Simply click on the “Share” tab and then on “Share on social networks” to access this new option. At this time Facebook settings do not allow us to enable the posting a single data point however, which is why only the Twitter button is available in the Widget in the bottom right corner.

-          We have added a new tab dedicated to partner services. In this tab, you can find all the services who have partnered with Withings and with whom you can sync your data. Click on any icon to see a description of the partner and how to connect your Withings scale or blood pressure monitor with them. Once you have completed the connection process, your weight and/or blood pressure data will be updated automatically on the partner service every time you take a new measurement.

-          In the same “Partner Services” tab, you now have the option to import data from other services and display it in the Withings interface. Two services are available at this time: Runkeeper (to import your daily running distances) and Zeo (to import your ZQ score). More services and devices will be added in the coming months. To display this new data, simply use the dropdown menus on the top and bottom graphs.

Changes on the Widget

The Widget is what we call the box in the bottom right corner of the screen that displays the details of the various readings.

-          You can now reassign a measurement that has been added mistakenly to the wrong user profile by selecting it and clicking on the button shown in the image below.

-          A new button on the widget allows you to display your weight and blood pressure data in a chart. This is also where you can add new measures manually.

-          Finally, if for some reason you don’t like the new look (but we certainly hope that you will!), you can always click on the link for “Standard dashboard” to return to the usual interface. Please note however that the function to import and display data from other services and devices only works in the new dashboard. You can switch at will between the two.

Hello, this is not possible for know but we are working on it!

  • Johaarup

A flat weight chart – where I can’t marvel at the visual progress! Runkeeper already have it – now you guys have it. Great. I really love your partnership with Runkeeper.

  • Anonymous

I’m seeing the same as Djailla on my PC – the curve is almost flat as the range is so wide. Also, the fat graph doesn’t show as a percentage any more.

    Thanks

  • Nils Kilden-Pedersen

We just had a wrongly assigned reading, but I don’t see the icon that supposedly would let me manually reassign to the correct person.

  • John Richard

The daily display in the standard version allowed me a much better view of my readings. The enhanced has compressed the graphical readouts to the point where I no longer can see my progress each day. Don’t like the enhanced at all.

What a pleasant surprise to log in with a Flashless browser today and see my dashboard anyway. Thanks for porting to HTML!

  • Gef

  • http://blog.withings.com/ Withings

Hello Nils, the icon that allows you to manually reassign a measurement is the small upwards arrow, the one that you see on the 6th illustration in the blog post, under the paragraphe “Changes on the widget” : http://blog.withings.com/en/2011/12/22/a-new-dashboard-is-available-for-my-withings-com/ Let us know if this helps!

  • http://blog.withings.com/ Withings

Hello John, thank you for the feedback. It is still possible to zoom in on the curves using the + and – buttons at the bottom of the dashboard in the middle, however there’s a bug that make the curves seem flat. We’re working on fixing the bug, so it should all be working more smoothly soon.

    Hello guys

Thank you for your work. The tools are really improving.
I have noted like a bug. Running miles/kms do not update in whitings accounts.
The day of the connection between run keeper and whitings account, everything went fine but further updates in runkkeper (new trainings) did not update in whitings (distance not updated)

thanks for checking that when you have a minute

    Kind Regards
    B.

Nice app, but could you explain what is the light blue part of the bars in the widget ?
Seems to be something like a mean ?
How are they computed ? is the age used ? Can you give more information about this ?
Or do you have an online documentation about this software ?

Withings badly needs a new design/user experience approach. Have had and am still having a lot of trouble using the online interface. It all seems very hacked together and lacks polish. Just adding a note to a particular entry is difficult. This lack of polish is a huge weak spot for Withings as a tool and as a brand and I hope your team is aware of it. An Apple-like approach is needed for Withings to truly dominate this market, else I’m afraid it won’t be much of a challenge of a competitor with better design-thinking to take eventually the lead.

  • http://blog.withings.com/ Withings

Thank you for your message which we will take into account. Our technical team is working every day to make the experience simpler and more enjoyable for our customers.

  • Jeffrey

you say call your customer service department but there is no number. What is your phone number for help. My scale is showing 0.0 and nothing. I tried what you suggested but there is no “force zero” on our account. NOT too helpful. Please, this was a lot of money and we loved it when it was working…PLEASE.

  • http://blog.withings.com/ Withings

Hi Jeffrey. If your scale’s screen is showing a blinking 0,0, it means you might have accidentally activated the manual calibration mode. Therefore, you must first tap the scale once before step on it to weigh in. To deactivate this feature, connect to your online Dashboard and click on “My account / My scale” and uncheck the “force zero at each weighin” box. If your problem persists you can contact our customer service at this address : contact-sup@withings.com. Thank you for your message and we apologize for the inconvenience !

  • http://blog.withings.com/ Withings

Hi! You can change the scale of the graph. On the mobile app, simply slide your fingers to zoom in or zoom out. On My.Withings.com, the “+” and “-“ buttons at the bottom of the screen allow you to do that.

  • Molly Dinnerstein

can i please have a PHONE NUMBER? I emailed the address you have posted and have gotten no response.

  • http://blog.withings.com/ Withings

Hi Molly, unfortunately our customer service responds only to emails. We tracked your request and you should already have a response from us. Could you please check your spam folder? We are really sorry for the inconvenience.

  • http://blog.withings.com/ Withings

Hello! Yes, generally speaking, a BMI between 18 and 25 defines a weight normality zone. To learn more about fitness and health check out our website http://www.withings.com/en/bodyscale/fitnessandhealth

  • http://blog.withings.com/ Withings

Hello Salgo, the accuracy may vary up to 3%. We advice you to always take your measurements at approximately the same hour to obtain the most precise result. You can read more about it here: http://ow.ly/8uDkN

Hello Carol, we’re sorry to hear that you are having issues with our product. Our support team indicates that they received your ticket and sent you a reply earlier today, I hope they’ll be able to work it out with you.

  • Dolphus

That only changes the X axis (time).
What we need to change is the Y axis (weight).
it is showing from 100 lbs to 180 lbs right now, which is ridiculously large. I just need it to show from 160-180lbs right now.

  • http://blog.withings.com/ Withings

Hi Dolphus! Sorry but the Y axis is automatically set to show the maximum and minimum values recorded during the time period you chose.

  • http://blog.withings.com/ Withings

Hi Dolphus. Thank you for taking the time to describe this problem. You’re right, it’s a bug that affects the new “Enhanced” Web dashboard. It will be fixed soon, but until it is you can switch back to the “Standard dashboard” to view weight curves.

  • http://blog.withings.com/ Withings

Hi there! We believe this bug has been fixed. If you’re still experiencing the problem it might mean that you need to unpair and then re-pair your RunKeeper. Please try this and let us know if I finally works.

  • ghid

Sorry for a dense question – how does one adjust the y axis (lbs) to a smaller range. my online graph shows a wide range from approx 100-200lbs. I would like to shrink/change that to say 150-200. thanks!

  • http://blog.withings.com/ Withings

Hi! You can switch to the standard dashboard, which let’s you change the scale of the graph (use the scroll wheel of your mouse if you have one).

  • http://blog.withings.com/ Withings

Hi Leigh! We don’t see any pb with RunKeeper on our side. Could you send us your account email so we can investigate this? community@withings.com
