Google co-founder Larry Page mentions his Smart Body Analyzer at the 2013 Google I/O
On Wednesday the 15th of May 2013, like many people involved in technology, some of Withings employees and managers where following the Google I/O conference in San Francisco (USA). Then, at one point it was time for Larry Page’s speech. The co-founder of Google (with Sergey Brin), talked about his company’s new products and updates. He went on to talk about the ongoing Internet revolution, centered around smartphones and sensor-laden devices. And guess what product he talked about to illustrate his point? No. It wasn’t Google Glass.

Like last year, Withings will be present at the conference “Doctors 2.0 & You” in the Cité Universtaire of Paris, in May 23rd and 24th. Doctors 2.0 & You is a digital health conference founded by social media and eHealth experts. The first Quantified Self Europe conference was held in Amsterdam on Saturday and Sunday Nov. 26-27 and Withings took this opportunity to meet with this community that has been very supportive of our products and our philosophy since the founding of the company. It was also the perfect occasion to present for the first time a nice infographic we had been working on.
Withings at TedMed 2011
After visiting Health 2.0 at San Francisco and Berlin, Withings headed to San Diego for another event, TedMed, between October 25 and 27. The atmosphere was quite different from the other conferences: TedMed is an offspring of the Ted conferences dedicated to innovation in healthcare and does not center around an exposition hall, but rather around a series of speeches given by high-profile speakers. This year, TedMed attendees had a chance to hear the thoughts for example of Lance Armstrong, Regina Benjamin, Michael Graves and Steve Wozniak.
