Whatever your reason, taking your pulse in the Health Mate app is easy and only takes a few seconds. Here’s how:

  1. Open the Health Mate app on your smartphone, and tap the “+” sign in the top right corner.
  2. Select ‘Heart Rate.’
  3. Place your index finger over your phone’s camera. If placed correctly, your finger should cover the whole camera, and the Health Mate app screen will be red.
  4. Hold your finger in place as the app detects your pulse.
  5. When complete, the camera light will turn off, and your heart rate will be recorded. Your results will appear in the app, along with some brief feedback.
