Withings will be at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona all week, on the prestigious Android’s booth! Come and meet us at the Android Stand, Hall 8. We will be demonstrating FOUR amazing features!
1) The new Push mode
Maybe you already noticed it, but the Withings app instantly informs you in the status bar when a new weigh in data is available. This feature is available with the new release of the Withings app (v0.98).
2) Our new partnership with CardioTrainer
We are proud to present our first partnership with another Android app! Your Withings WiFi Body Scale directly sends your data to your CardioTrainer personal account. It’s being demonstrate at the MWC, but it is not available on the new CardioTrainer version yet.
If you don’t know it, CardioTrainer is a free, next-generation mobile fitness and weight loss application. It allows you to set up a weight loss goal and workout schedule, and be notified when you have upcoming workouts. The application lets you track your weight loss progress share with family and friends to help meet those goals. The application has millions of users on Android.
3) The new Content provider
It is a typical Android feature that allows two applications installed on the same phone to communicate directly. This way, they can exchange data locally and automatically update each other’s data. Withings now integrates this technology. CardioTrainer for instance use it to pull in weight data for its Weight Loss Trainer users.More information on the subject here.
4) The Google Health integration
Available since January 2010, it allows the Withings WiFi Body Scale to provide updates to a user’s Google Health profile wirelessly in real-time. More information here : www.withings.com/googlehealth
