We love IFTTT! This “Internet of things”-oriented web service offers numerous “Recipes” that let you set up causality links between a given “Trigger” and an “Action”. For example, if you pick the right recipe, stepping on your Withings scale can turn on your coffee machine! There are already many “Withings x IFTTT” recipes available, but IFTTT just released 4 new triggers based around the Withings Pulse. Let’s check them out and try to imagine cool new recipes.
One step further into the connected life
Your Withings scale and Blood Pressure Monitor already had the ability to set off given action, thanks to previously released IFTTT triggers. For example, stepping on the scale or taking your blood pressure can be used to automatically provoke certain actions.
Your Withings Pulse can now trigger actions too!
Imagine if your Withings activity tracker, that automatically syncs with your smartphone, could trigger certain actions… Stop building castles in the air! Since yesterday, there are 4 ways to use your Pulse as a trigger!
- The “Heart rate measure” trigger – Use this trigger if you want a certain action to happen automatically each time you take your pulse. There are sooo many things that could be triggered! Your imagination is the limit… Well, not exactly. Here’s the complete list of actions your Pulse can trigger.
- The “Logging of yesterday’s activity” trigger – Use this trigger if you want a certain action to happen automatically each time your Withings Pulse syncs yesterday’s activity data.
- The “Logging a reached goal activity level” trigger – Use this trigger if you want a certain action to happen automatically each time you reach/log a specific level of activity (that you define).
- The “Logging an unreached goal activity level” trigger – Use this trigger if you want a certain action to happen automatically each time you log your activity data, and did not reach a specific level of activity (that you define).
