We’re happy to announce that Aura now Works With Nest. If you use a Withings Aura and the Nest Thermostat, the two can now communicate to adjust the temperature in your bedroom based on your sleep/wake patterns.
Getting a good night’s sleep is an elusive goal for many people. Whether you’re working late hours, in desperate need of a new mattress, or shivering under the covers, there are days when falling asleep feels impossible. We understand the difficulty of achieving a perfect night’s sleep which is why we were thrilled to release the smartest sleep system on the market, the Withings Aura.
March 2-8 marks the annual public education campaign known as Sleep Awareness Week. To help you better understand some of the barriers getting in the way of a good night’s sleep, as well as the effects of sleep on overall health, we will be providing you with fresh content each day from now until March 8.
Before we get ahead of ourselves with sleep content, we want to share some exciting news with you: Aura now Works With Nest!
In essence, Aura is a two-part system carefully engineered to track and improve your overall sleep quality. Users will place a pad underneath their mattresses to track heart rate, respiratory rate and movement, Aura is able to determine: how long it takes you to fall asleep, light sleep, deep sleep, REM sleep, and number of mid-night wake ups. The bedside device helps soothe you to sleep and gradually wakes you up with scientifically validated light and sound programs. Aura emits a red light at night to increase melatonin production, and a blue light in the morning to decrease melatonin production so you wake up more naturally and better refreshed. The two pieces pair perfectly well to provide you with the best possible sleep experience, that is, until now.
We’re happy to announce that Aura now Works With Nest. If you use a Withings Aura and the Nest Thermostat, the two can now communicate to adjust the temperature in your bedroom based on your sleep/wake patterns. When Aura has detected that a user is asleep, it will send a notification to your Nest thermostat to adjust the temperature to fall between 64.4-68° Fahrenheit, the best range for sleeping. When Aura senses that you haven woken up, it will communicate this information to Nest so that the temperature can return back to normal. A connected home is a healthy one. What are you waiting for? Get connected!
